Lil' Picasso is a Drawing and Painting program for PreK to 1st grade based on Art History.
In honor of National Kite Month and Cherry Blossom festival, we will be reading a book about kites and then creating a picture inspired by what we learn.
Next, in honor of National Parks week, we will be learning about artist Charley Harper. He was famous for his simplified animal paintings and his 10-poster series created for the National Parks.
Next, we will celebrate Audubon Day and his birthday by creating a picture inspired by John James Audubon's scientific illustration of birds.
Lastly, we will celebrate National Textile Day by learning about artist Mirka Mora, who is known for her fantasy paintings, soft sculptures and textiles.
