NOVEMBER 17th: NHM's new wing opening festival!

We are excited to announce that the opening of the Natural History Museum's long-awaited new wing will be opening November 17th! On that day, they will have a full day celebration from 9:30-5pm including live music, workshops, up close collection preview, a chance to meet NHM scientists, and a lot more! You can check out all of the important information here.

While the NHM focuses mostly on science, there is also some art. At their grand-opening, they will have some free art workshops and activities, and you can get up close to L.A. artist Barbara Carrasco's landmark mural, L. A. History: A Mexican Perspective.

Some other cool things at the NHM to check out:

SPIDER PAVILION: The spider exhibition sounds really cool. You get to walk among spiders in this open-air experience!

DINOSAUR HALL: This award-winning exhibition has more than 300 fossils on display. You can visit on your own or take a tour.
