LIL' EXPLORER'S CAMP (PreK-1st)

This is a camp designed just for our littlest artists, PreK to 1st grade! Students will be learning about animals that live on different continents around the world! They will create a Kangaroo cut-out from Australia, an make-your-own scratch-board orangutan from Asia, a foam-print lion from African and a watercolor gradient Toucan from South America.

Supplies are included with in-person camps.

Supplies are not included with online camps. Below are the supplies needed:

KANGAROO CUT-OUT:

• pencil, sharpie, eraser
• Watercolor or mixed media paper (2 pieces)
• scissors, glue
• Oil pastels
• Watercolors
• Brushes
• markers

ORANGUTAN SCRATCHBOARD:

• Mixed media paper
• pencil, sharpie, eraser
• acrylic or tempera paint
• dish soap (like Dawn)
• something to scratch with (ie: scratch tool or toothpick or pencil)
• Oil pastels
• Markers
• Chalk Pastels

LION FOAM PRINT:

• pencil, sharpie, eraser
• 1-2 sheets of foam (5x7 to 6x8" each)
• Markers
• Chalk Pastels
• Oil Pastels
• Paper towels
• Paper to draw on
• Brush with water

TOUCAN GRADIENT PAINTING:

• pencil, sharpie, eraser
• watercolor or mixed-media paper for Toucan's beak (1 piece)
• Black paper for Toucan's head (1 piece)
• white paper for toucan's head (1 piece)
• green paper for leaves (at least 1 piece)
• Dark blue paper for background sky (1 piece)
• Sponge (cut a kitchen sponge into a smaller sponge)
• green and yellow acrylic or tempera paint (or you can mix blue and yellow to make green)
• paper plates
