In this series, students will learn about Fashion in every decade from 1900 to 2000. Students can draw a person, an animal or any character they want wearing the clothes of that decade. They can cut out their figures and put them together on a time-long, or they can draw them on individual papers and put them together in a Fashion Book.

Series Supplies: This series focuses mostly on the drawing of the specific fashion styles, so students may use whatever mediums they want to color with.

Course Description: In this course, students will learn about Fashion from the 1900s to the 1950s.

PROJECT 1: 1900s

Project Description: In this project, students learn about 1900s fashion. They will learn about their very conservative dresses that had lots of ruffles, buttons, lace and layers, high collars, long sleeves, gloves.. and much more. Students will draw their own cartoon wearing 1900s fashion.

PROJECT 2: 1910s

Project Description: If you have watched Disney's Mary Poppins, you have gotten a glimpse into the fashion trends of the 1910s! In this project, students learn about 1910s fashion. They will learn about long skirts, big hats and short hair, and much more. They will draw their own cartoon wearing 1910s fashion.

PROJECT 3: 1920s

Project Description: In this project, students learn about 1920s fashion, where many people were discarding the stuffy dress from the decade prior for comfortable clothes suited for dancing. They will draw their own cartoon wearing 1920s fashion.

PROJECT 4: 1930s

Project Description: In this project, students learn about 1930s fashion. They will learn about backless and sleeveless evening dresses, mid-length dresses with puffy sleeves, big belts and collars, and high waist sailor pants. Casual sports clothes begin to become popular. Students will draw their own cartoon wearing 1930s fashion.

PROJECT 5: 1940s

Project Description: In this project, students learn about 1940s fashion. They will learn about the tailored, military inspired fashions with shoulder pads. By this time, casual wear has made itself a staple in many people's wardrobe. Students will draw their own cartoon wearing 1940s fashion.

PROJECT 6: 1950s

Project Description: In this project, students learn about 1950s fashion. They will learn about swing and sheath dresses, pencil, circle and poodle skirts, the leather jacket and jeans look, and many more! Students will draw their own cartoon wearing a classic 1950s fashion.
