ACRYLIC PAINTING CAMP (2nd-6th)

In this camp, students will learn fun techniques such as one-stroke painting, q-tip painting, palette knife painting and stencil painting! We will be focusing on the technique, but students can use these techniques on virtually any subject, so the sky is the limit for their creativity.

Supplies are included with in-person camps.

Supplies are not included with online camps. For the online camp, you will need to have Acrylic paints, brushes, paper or canvas and some items you can probably find around your home. As always, you are welcome to purchase new items or just use supplies that you already have at home. Most of the cheap versions of these items can be purchased for much cheaper in person in the craft aisle at Wal-Mart.

    • Acrylic Paint (cheap), (better) *Note: get at least red, yellow, blue, black and white
    • Paper You'll need 4 pieces of paper or canvas for the main projects, ideally 9x12" at the smallest or 11x14" at the largest. Paper pad.
      • Optional: White and/or gold paint pen and roller (The roller is to paint the canvases black as a base - if you would rather use any large brush, that's fine).
      • Items from home: practice paper (ie: copy paper), pencil, sharpie, eraser, card-stock (any color or you can buy stencil paper sheets), scissors, blue-tape, Q-tips, rubber-bands, plastic knife, paper plates, paper towels toothbrush and newspaper to cover your table.
