Fibo has been teaching art to children since 2005. We have 4 studio locations in Brea, Tustin, Cypress and Fountain Valley, CA. We offer weekly Drawing and Painting classes based on Art History and Art Fundamentals to students PreK (starting at age 4) through 12th grade. Come try a FREE class today!

Lil' Picasso: PreK-1st
Lil' Picasso is for students PreK-1st grade. They must be at least 4 years old.
Lil' Picasso meets 1 hour, once a week.
Art History
Lil' Picasso curriculum is based on Art History. Students learn about a famous artist, and then create a project inspired by that artist.
Students complete 1 project per class. Students stay in Lil' Picasso until the end of May of their 1st grade year. All students in Lil’ Picasso graduate into Core (the next level) starting June 1st of their 1st grade year.
Subjects
Lil' Picasso students learn to draw a basic portrait (human face), and figure (human body), that is very helpful for drawing in school! They also learn to draw basic animals, still lifes and landscapes.
Mediums
Lil' Picasso students learn to use watercolors, markers, oil pastels and chalk pastels.

Supplies

This includes a Supply kit that your child brings home and back to class each week. These supplies should last about a year if not used outside the classroom. Parents are responsible for refilling supplies on an as-needed basis. Any supplies not provided in the kit, such as paper and paints, are provided in the classroom.
MONTHLY STUDENTS
Make-up in the same week as the missed class.
You are welcome to come twice in the same week, but we teach the same project Tue-Sat each week, so they will get the same project twice.
Makeups cannot extend beyond the current paid month. Missed classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Core: 2nd-4th
CORE is for students 2nd-4th grade, or younger students that have graduated from Lil' Picasso.
CORE meets 1.5 hours, once a week.
CORE curriculum is based on Art Fundamentals. Students learn about an Art Fundamental, and then create a project utilizing what they learned.
CORE students learn how to draw people, animals, landscapes and still lifes.
CORE students learn about Color Theory, Perspective, Composition and Shading.
CORE students learn how to use Acrylics, Watercolors, Oil Pastels, Chalk Pastels, Graphite, Charcoal and Colored Pencils.
CORE students work independently at their own pace and receive individualized instruction based on their own ability levels. Students complete 1 project on average, every 2 classes. There are 52 projects in CORE, therefore it takes 2 years, on average to complete the CORE program.

When you pay for a CORE program, you are paying for 52 projects. You have until June of their 4th grade year to complete those 52 projects. Therefore, if you pay for the program with more than 2 years to go until June of their 4th grade year, you do not need to schedule makeups.

Portfolio: 9th-12th
PORTFOLIO is for students 9th-12th grade, or younger students that have graduated from Masters.
PORTFOLIO meets 2 hours, once a week.
PORTFOLIO curriculum is based on Art Fundamentals, Art History and finding their own style through conceptual ideas. Students learn about an Art Fundamental and famous artist or concept and then create a project utilizing that item while finding their own style through their art.
PORTFOLIO students learn how to draw people, animals, landscapes and still lifes as well as abstract conceptual thoughts and subjects.
PORTFOLIO students learn how to use Color Theory, Perspective, Composition and Shading to find their own style.
PORTFOLIO students use Acrylics, Watercolors, Oil Pastels, Chalk Pastels, Graphite, Charcoal and Colored Pencils.
PORTFOLIO students work independently at their own pace and receive individualized instruction based on their own ability levels. Students complete 1 project on average, every 4 classes. There are 52 projects in Portfolio, therefore it takes 4 years, on average to complete the PORTFOLIO program.
